NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE FOR OBTAINING NEWBORN/MINOR’S PASSPORT IN INDIA

- Application to the Consular Officer on a plain sheet of paper explaining the purpose for which the service is required.
- Original passport (to be shown at the counter) and a copy thereof.
- Alien Registration card or Residence Card(to be shown at the counter) and a copy thereof.

RENUNCIATION OF INDIAN CITIZENSHIP

-Indian citizens acquiring foreign citizenship are required to ‘Renounce’ their Indian citizenship and surrender their Indian passports for cancellation. They are issued a ‘Surrender Certificate’ by the Embassy.

-Original Indian passport and a copy thereof.

- Original and copy of Certificate of Naturalization

-Duly filled in and signed Renunciation Form

The above mentioned documents are general mandatory requirements.  The applicants may be requested to submit some more documents after scrutiny of the application at the counter, on a case to case basis.

NOTE: The Mode of Payment for applicants seeking Passport, Consular and other services from the Republic of the Marshall Islands is through ‘Bank Transfer’ in Japanese Yen only  and the amount has to be remitted to  the Embassy of India Account Number  424123301000004 at Bank of India, Tokyo Branch;  SWIFT  CODE – BKIDJPJT

In addition to normal processing time of 4-6 weeks for applicants residing in Japan, it may take 10-12 days for the delivery of the passport by Registered Post at Marshall Islands, after its dispatch.
