Government of India Scholarship Scheme for Hindi Course for Academic Year 2018-19

The Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (Central Institute of Hindi), Agra, India offer scholarships to Japanese nationals for the study of Hindi under the scheme of “Propagation of Hindi Abroad at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra (KHS)” for the academic year 2018-19, commencing from 1st August, 2018. The scheme is administered by the KHS, Agra under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

2. The broad features and requirement for the scholarship are as under:

3. Sets of application forms, with supporting documents to be submitted to the Embassy by 13 April 2018.

The candidate should be between 21 - 35 years of age.

The candidate should have studied Hindi for at least one to two years.

Selected candidates will be entitled for Economy class (both ways) airfare by the shortest route.

Selected candidates will be provided hostel accommodation on nominal charges of Rs.300 /- per month

towards water, electricity, cleaning etc.

Candidates will be required to meet expenditure on food provided in the mess. Only vegetarian meals

are served in the hostel.

Candidates living in the hostel have to strictly follow the hostel rules and regulation.

The selected candidates will be given   scholarship of Rs.6000/- per month and Rs.1000/- per annum as books grant.

Winter vacation will be from last week of December till first week of January.

Leave can be granted on the basis of medical certificate only, otherwise Rs. 50/- will be charged per day for the absence in the class.

The academic year of KHS, Agra is from 1st August 2018 to 30th April 2019.

No candidate will be permitted to go back without completing the full academic term. Therefore, only those candidates who are willing to stay in India at Agra for the full academic year should apply.
