Seminar on India-Japan Partnership: Miyagi
 

    Embassy of India in Tokyo, in collaboration with the Miyagi Prefectural Government, hosted a Seminar titled ‘India-Japan Partnership: Miyagi’ on 14 November 2024 with a view to enhance collaborations between India and Japan with a special focus on Miyagi Prefecture.

2. In his inaugural address, H.E. Mr. Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Japan, mentioning India-Japan Special Strategic & Global Partnership, spoke about strengthening further India-Japan ties, steps taken by the Government of India to improve the ease of doing business, India’s attractiveness as a preferred investment destination, and the opportunities available for Japanese companies in India. In his remarks, H.E. Mr. Yoshihiro Murai, Hon’ble Governor of Miyagi Prefecture talked about expanding partnerships with India in a wide range of sectors including in IT & human resources fields.

3. The event was also addressed by Mr Kazuya Nakajo, Executive Vice President of JETRO and Mr. Ashok Malik, Partner & Chair of India Practice, The Asia Group.

4. The event featured presentations from representatives of Miyagi Hotel Ryokan Association, Tohoku Bio Array Co Ltd, Cyber Solutions, AiRato Inc, Invest India, Confederation of Indian Industry and Nihon Edutech Pvt Ltd.

5. The event concluded with dance performances showcasing rich culture & traditions of both India and Miyagi. This was followed by an exhibition and a networking session, providing an opportunity to explore avenues for further collaborations.
