Seminar on "Building Digital Bridges: India-Japan Digital Partnership", 30 September 2024

     The Embassy of India in Tokyo hosted a seminar on "Building Digital Bridges: India-Japan Digital Partnership" seminar today, focusing on enhancing collaboration in digital domain between the two countries.

2. In his inaugural remarks, H.E. Mr. Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Japan, emphasized the deep-rooted cultural and strategic ties between India and Japan. He highlighted growing cooperation under India-Japan Digital Partnership, which forms a key pillar of the bilateral relationship, and called for further expanding the scope of cooperation by including areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors and digital talent exchange.

3. The event also featured remarks by Mr. Toshihiko Shibuya, Deputy Director-General for IT Strategy from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI), and virtual presentations by representatives from India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM).
