Talk on 'Empowerment of Indian Women' by H.E. Mrs. VasundharaRaje, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan

The Embassy of India, Tokyo organized a talk on 'Empowerment of Indian Women' by H.E. MrsVasundharaRaje, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Indian State of Rajasthan at Vivekananda Cultural Centreon 7 April 2015. The event was well attended by more than hundred participants.  H.E. Mrs. Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, Ambassador of India and H.E. Dr. Kuniko Inoguchi, Member – House of Councillors& Founding Member and Leader of the Japan-India Parliamentary Friendship Women’s League (JIPFWL) also addressed the audience.

2. Hon’ble Chief Minister shared her own experiences as well as the measures taken by her government for the empowerment of women in Rajasthan.  The Talk was followed by a question-answer session moderated by Ms. Aiko Doden, Senior Commentator/Editor-in-Chief, NHK.

3. H.E. Ms. Abe Toshiko,State Minister, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries,H. E. Ms. Takagi Michiyo, Member of Parliament and JIPFWL, Mr. Masaaki Shirakawa, Former Governor, Bank of Japan were among the many dignitaries from Japanese academia, media and industry who attended the event.
